Just wanted to share with you…
I am very happy w/ my Magic Jack. I hooked it to my 5 phone cordless system and except for dialing the area code on all calls (just like my cell phone), it is great.
But, you must have a decent high speed Internet connection. I am not sure how much your PC has to do with it as well. I have heard (and can confirm) that you really need 5mb service or better to get perfect tone. I had used another voip and will agree that when I upgraded to 8mb, my garbled and lost calls went away. Maybe they did other upgrades as well…not sure.
The only negative thing is that you must keep a PC running 24/7 to have service, but I do anyway.

By the way, what are your LD rates to Mexico City and will a Magic Jack work down there if they have high speed Internet?

how to renew my magicjack ?doesn’t work anymore ?
I bought the MJ for my wife who is in Kampala Uganda. The system worked fine and has saved me over $8,000 per year in home and cell calls. The problem we are having since MJ did an update around August/September I have difficultly hearing her because broken words; she can hear me just fine. She calls me on differant phones but still the same results. Her MJ # 409-497-9691 and if you check the contact she has had with customer service, there were alot of long sleepless nites trying to resolve the problem. If the problem can’t be resolved can I get a replacement MJ sent to her???

I activated my Magic Jack. As aresult of your sales screens on the activation sequence I now have three (3) pending charges for $81.64 and one charge for $1.00 pending on my credit card. I have already paid you $104.54 on my credit card on December 05, 2011 for 5 year service and will accept a charge for the Magic Jack itself in early January.
Please make sure none of these four pending charges make it to the active charge list on my credit card.
Your activation screens need to have the sales screens removed. It causes confusion and once you have the Magic Jack you want to use it. If you must have these screens put them on the screen afterthe MJ is activated not in the middle of activation. The MJ seems to work fine your net site is confusing and the sales screens should have their place but that place is not in the middle of the working screens.
I did check with customer support after I needed help withthe confusing activation process. They said there ere no charges. Yet here they are pending on my credit card.
appreciate your help with this so thart I don’t have to contest the charges.
